Oradour-Sur -Glane: A small town which has been left completely untouched after being attacked during WWII. Definitely worth a visit to realise the devastation caused by war. An excellent lesson in history for anyone. (Approx. 50 miles North West)

Lac de Saint-Pardoux: Huge reservoir lined with Sandy Beaches, a water park and swimming pool, Picnic areas, fishing and boating areas, as well as many cycle and walking trails. (Approx. 50 miles North East)

Flavignac: Nice little village with a swimming lake and sand beaches. There is usually a lifeguard and small shop during holiday season. (Approx. 7 miles north west

Eymoutier: Small but pretty town. Nice place to stop before spending a few hours around the national park. (Approx 35 miles East)

Rocamadour: Small Town over a beautiful river with canoe and kayak rental. Great for whole family. Oldest part of the town is/was carved from the face of neighbouring cliffs, some of which can be explored. (Approx 55 miles South)
